Melissa Matara, our youngest artist, was born in Brazil in 1977. Trained as an architect, she worked professionally in Brasil until moving to the United States in 2001. Her unusual paintings combine interesting textural elements, skillfully applied to enhance the sense of light and shadow. She now lives in Central Florida where she maintains her studio and works as an interior decorator.
