Anna Mallmann

Anna Mallmann is an artist and architect. She grew up in southern Brazil in the city of Porto Alegre. She began painting at age 10, inspired by the paintings done by her mother and her aunts. She studied art at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and architecture at Ritter University in Brazil, followed by a design specialization at the Instituto Europeo Di Design in Italy. Ranging from colorful organic forms in portraits of daily life to abstract landscapes, she expresses an accessible approach to cubism by placing it in a popular context. She also draws on distinctive media in her figurative paintings and abstract landscapes, using materials ranging from gold leaf to cement. Anna‘s works have traveled the world, from Brazil to Japan and from Europe to Israel, and many of her pieces have been selected for private and corporate collections. She moved to the United States in 2000 and now lives in Florida, where her work continues to blossom through what inspires her the most: life itself.
