Ernani Silva                                                BrasilArts

Ernani Silva was born in Rio de Janeiro. He has lived in New York for many years, where he has developed a distinctive style that draws on abstract, Brazilian and African elements, and an almost riotous use of color.  Working with a new theme of “Images Behind the Blues”, his subjects mix animal and human forms, swing musicians and sexy madonnas. The images change from one form to another behind blue cobalt and turquoise, creating compositions and perspectives that vary with the light.   Return
